Default Custom Rear Speaker Mount..............

Hey guys, I'm finishing up my rear speaker install on my S2K and it looks like it is going to turn out great! I didnt like the way Lucids grilles just "sit" on the top of the panels, so I flushed my grilles into the panels!! I have already installed the speakers (Eclipse 6.5" in the front and Eclipse 4" in the rears) and they sound great. Once the grilles are finished, I'll try and post some pics. Oh yeah, I have an Alpine CDA-9813 head unit if anyone cares. I sell high end mobile electronics, so if anyone has any questions, or ideas that they need some help with, feel free to ask away!

No, I am not using an amp at the moment(I have ordered all of my equipment from JL, just waiting on it....an entirely different setup). The deck I am using has 60 watts X 4 with built in front/rear/sub crossovers which allows me to filter out the deep bass that the 4" and the 6.5" speakers cannot handle. The front speakers are only temporary until my JLs come in, but I will continue to use the 4" in the rear. There is NO distortion when all of the crossovers are set right, and the 4" speakers really add that needed rear fill that was lacking. I have a model year 2000, so they aren't component Eclipses in the front, but the JLs that I have ordered are components and I will be flushing the tweeters in the A-pillars when they get here. Anyways, if anyone in interested in a good sound without spending a ton of cash, go with this setup. The midbass is great and it has enough volume to overcome the roadnoise when the top is down.

- Oh yeah, I finished the rear grilles, so if anyone knows how to post pictures on here or if someone will host them for me, let me know and I'll put them up! Thanks guys!!!!

i guess since your an installer and familiar w/ jl amps. i have a jl 300/2 powering a set of dynaudio's, where should i put my input sensitivity. it seems to change so much w/ different settings. does that actually regulate the power of the amp? what exactly is the input sesitivity knob.

I have on order a JL 500/5 amp, a 12W3V2D4 sub, and XR650csi components. The sub will be going in a sweet custom painted fiberglass ported box. I'll post pics when I get finished. I got the pics taken of the rear speakers, so can someone tell me how to post them? Thanks guys!

Oh yeah - soonS2K, PM me with your e-mail address or a fax number and I'll get you a copy of our dealer reference settings chart.

Looking forward to seeing pics!
Did you get your panels from Lucid or cut your own? Did you use anything else from them like their DCI? I am desperately looking for an installer in Nassau County, LI. Maybe you know someone since you're in the business.
