Dash controls (Which head units have been successfully installed with PAC SWI-X)
OK , Here I go again.
Is anyone out there using any of the following MP3 head units:
PIONEER DEH-P740MP (With built in 200 Watt Mos Fet Power Amp)
JVC KD-SH707 MP3
BLAUPUNKT SAN JOSE
KENWOOD KDC-MP919
If so , what is your opinion regarding the following
The power output?
Does the unit have trouble with skipping on some MP3 recording?
(I tested some at my local Wiz and noticed the Sony and Panasonic units did)
The Pioneer unit worked flawlessly with all of my MP3s
and were you able to integrate the factory dash controls. If you were able to get the dash controls to work , what interface unit did you use?
Thanks in advance

The new kenwoods have been amazing with their displays and playback times. HUGE difference over last year's models. I think thats the edge they have over the rest.
Check out the new Panasonic decks though, they're still trickling out but lots of features. One has an SD mem card for your Mp3s.
SWIX is really your only shot at getting a deck to work with the dash controls. Scott's DCU works with Sony decks.

I didn't notice any problem with the Sony CDX-MP450X skipping tracks or skipping in tracks. And it does work with the DCU.
