can you use the double din LCD and receiver unit? Or do you have to get just LCD screen and unit seperately?

Also, who makes a decent sunlight readable 7" LCD, anyone have any links?

the bezel is capable of holding a 7" screen..the bezel fit on our US cars because I go through a process of making it fit as close as possible......

here are some pics of another install i just finish yesterday for a member....ohh by the way..this was a neat install...owner wanted GPS in it..came out pretty good..check it out.

I mounted his GPS antenna on the dash in the middle

GPS mounted on top of the rear...where spare tire goes
where did you get your bezel?

Just as a preface here I have all the respect for you giving this a try and figuring it out. So don't take these comments the wrong way I'm just curious that's all... maybe I can learn something A new trick or way of doing something.

So... do you end up with the right and left edges sticking up? Also how to you get the screen to face the right way?

Do you custom mold the screen so it faces the right way? I have one of these sitting around somewhere. Not that I'm going to cut a hole in my dash but maybe I will do it for someone local if I have time. I bought a used spare dash and tried to get this to fit properly and it just doesn't. I ended up making a custom screen mount for the client. The fit was much better IMHO.

Can you take some close up shots of the sides?

I built this for my car and a few others here and other clients:
