I was just wondering if it was possible to put in an INDASH DVD player in place of the stock head unit. What I'm wondering is if when the DVD LCD flips out if it'll have enough clearance to go up without hitting the dashboard.

Dude, ther's no way your getting a flip out in that space.
But check out some other options. One guy built in a motorized screen come out of the ventilation.
Do a search and you'll find a lot.
