I must say though, If I was going to go through all the trouble of installing an inDash touch screen I would have just thrown a CarPC in the spare tire well and ran Vista with iPod/Nav/SatRadio/Etc.
Less than $1000 for all the parts and supplies, and maybe ~100hrs designing, fabricating, and installing the whole system from start to finish.
I did it a little at a time over 5 months or so. Sanding the bezel to shape was the hardest part and probably accounts for several dozen of those hours
I had a blast doing it though, but probably won't have that much spare time for a long time now that I've graduated and will be back in the real world again
What DVD based navigation did you use? I have been looking for one but all they have are the double din or flip up. I want to do an LCD screen like you with a seperate navagation unit.
