Default DEI Tilt/motion sensor switch settings

Anyone have the switch settings for the DIP switch on the Viper/DEI/Clifford 507T tilt/motion sensor?

Mine is proving to be a real pain in the a$$, and I wanted to adjust the sensitivity a bit.

Here is a link to the install guide: http://www.azcartoys.com/images/507T.PDF

DEI has the arrow pointing the wrong direction (diagram on page 2) so "on" is actually down (not up).

DIP 1 (sensitivity) is ON = 1 degree, OFF = 3 degree
DIP 2 and 3 (motion sensitivity) - follow settings on page 2 (understanding that the arrow/ON position is inverted from the diagram)
DIP 4 (setup time) is ON = 4 seconds, OFF = 10 seconds

Hope this helps

William

Why does documentation say 10secs or 2 minutes for arming time (not 4 and 10 secs) ?

Actually, I found those settings ages ago, they were covered by the adhesive on the box itself.

I had to remove it, it was falsing all the time. The installer replaced it and the new one does the same thing. Has anyone ever gotten this box to work reliably?

MIne falsed also, but I'm trying to see if I can use low motion with high tilt sensitivity without falses. I currently have the prox disabled. In theory you can discern which source activated (by some led sequence when you open the car up) but as I recall (could be wrong ) you cant discern between the 507T motion / tilt sensor and the built-in 'motion' (i.e.hit by full garbage truck) sensor.
I have found the prox sensor susceptible to my neighbor's alarm system , I'd assume an infrared motion detector. If I park right in fromt of their house, it goes off but across the street is OK.

Well maybe there was an earthquake or a dog bumped into my car but my F-ing alarm DID go off last night. Slight chance something actually caused it, but in any case it's too sensitive @ low motion sensitivity, assuming it wasnt a tilt activation.

I don't mean to disappoint you further with this, but I had mine set on a 3 degree tilt with a 2 minute delay, and that damn thing would false daily, usually right after the "timer" expired. Especially if the car was parked anywhere but on a perfectly flat surface. If I park the car and take off for a bit, there would be a 50-50 chance (or better) that the alarm was going off while I was absent.
