Nope. The only tricky part is the harness boot between the door and the frame. You have to unattach both sides and probably (was a long time ago) disconnect the door harness from the main harness. Fish the lines through and reattach. That's it. Took about two lazy, beer-filled hours per door.

It was easy for me. I used a coat hanger and fished it through the loom. After that I attached the speaker wire and make sure it would not come loose and just pulled the hanger back. The new 14 gauge wire was finished. Give that a try, it's easy one you have done it a few times. A coat hanger is a installers secret tool, you can use it to run wires every where.

I left the grommet in place carefully slit a hole on the inside of the car to fish it through. I used a wire (not ground) from a 12-2 romex house wire about 2 feet long. Soldered the speaker wire to the end of the wire, slid heat shrink tubing over it and its all nice and neat. For lube, i used a KY because i feel its better for the rubber grommet. It slid through no problem. Only issue is fitting a 215lb/6'1" me down in the footwell to see what im doing.

Instead of a coathanger, use an industrial-sized Zip-Tie....they'll set you back about $1, and you significantly reduce your chances of poking through where you don't want to. You can pick them up at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. See my webpage...
