Default Disconnect windows from hardtop?

Anyone know if it's possible to disconnect the power windows from the hardtop raising/lowering?

I'd like to somehow not auto lower the windows when I drop the top, as well as be able to manually raise the windows as I raise the top.

Thanks

You know the windows drop for a reason, right? It's not just so the windows are down with the top - it's so the top can clear the window glass on it's way down/up... I wouldn't recommend disconnecting the door windows...

How are you raising and lowering a hardtop? That is a manual operation and has nothing to do with the electronics of the car.

If you mean soft top, then read above.

The top will break the windows if they don't drop. They need to drop about 2" for the top to clear.

I also don't get what the hardtop mumbo jumbo is about.

Ahh, didn't think about the 2" window drop needed for the top to retract. Thanks everyone.

I think the hardtop mumbo jumbo was because I have a hardtop. However, I only use it a few months out of the year and am top-down the rest of the time.
