Default ne one with JVC NX5000?

hey whats up guys..... i just received my kd nx5000 yesterday and i tried installing it today.... everything seems working fine(radio, dvd, etc) accept for the navigation system. everytime i type the destination and press enter, it doesnt do anything. Is it possible i might have gotten a defective unit?????

i bought this from "hookedontronics" but i couldnt help wonder maybe this was a refurbished item or used because it had no seals. any help regarding this unit would be GREATLY appreciated guys!!

hmm i have the nx5000 and have had some intial problems with it. One of the problems is that once in awhile it will totally read your speed incorrectly and will give you inaccurate gps position but that is just because you have to recalibrate it.

Did you calibrate the head unit with the parking brake wire connected? alot of people have reported problems with calibration if they grounded the parking brake wire. I put the parking brake wire on a switch so it is hooked up when i need to calibrate the unit and off the rest of the time so i can use the nav while driving

check the wires that need wiring for the navigation part of the unit, that is most likely where you have the problem
