Default disconnected car battery : honda factroy stereo now not working, do i need a code?

owned my s2000 about 4 weeks now...Just fitted a bluetooth handsfree kit to it however the hands free kit works find but the stereo now does not, i disconnected the battery for the install. Should I at least be seeing a screen saying enter code? (is this in the handbook) cuz the headunit seems absolutely dead but obviosly power is there cuz the hands free works. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You definitely need the radio code and mine was in the "secret compartment" on my first S2000, and stuck in the owner's manual on my second one. If you can't find it, the dealer should be able to help you. Easy to do once you get the code. Instructions in user manual I believe.

Should say CODE on the display. You should have been given a credit card sized card that has the code on it.

if it doesnt say code, try disconnecting the battery again, let sit for 3 min, then reconnect.
