Default DIY - How to remove OEM HU

Guys, I searched on forum but seems like most of the links are outdated.
lucidauto.com is down, seems like the most popular instruction was there.

Could you please provide some info how can I remove my OEM HU from AP2.
Thanks in advance.

I ended up bandaiding the end of a coat hanger and putting that in the vents to get the top out before getting the bottom tabs out.

Just installed my JVC SH1000 HU. (No Modifry DCI yet since their online store is unavailable)
I used the adapter from Circuit CIty coz I didn;t want to cut OEM wires, so on that adapter (fopr Honda's) some wire are left unconnected.

Questions:
1. Power dimmer wire - what is that wire about?
2. Power antenna wire, probaly no use
3. How can I turn on my head unit when the ignition is switched off.
I can see the HU has powered when ignition is turned off, but it won't start, you can just eject the CD, thats it.

Also, would be nice if you can help me to find wiring diagram for OEM head unit.
Thanks in advance.

The power dimmer wire didn't work right for me, but theoretically it would dim the HU to match the settings on the dash.

The power antenna wire SHOULD be hooked up. The antenna on the S2000 is amplified and needs power to do it's job.

You would have to "hotwire it" by splicing the always on (red?) wire into the wire on the HU harness for ingition wire (orange?) (Sorry, I always seem to get them backwards.) of course, it would stay on all the time and drain your battery unless you manually turned it off everytime you got out of the car.

Thinking about it, if you wanted to be creative, you could hook up a switch that would change that wire over based on it's position.

That way you could flip a switch so your wife could listen to the radio while you went into the store without needing to leave the keys in the car.
