Default Pioneer Premier integration

Here goes the ideal setup, so far. Deck = premier deh-p880prs, components = diamond s600s, sub = diamond d610d4(box is either trunkwell made by me or darkside v2), sub amp = premier prs-d1100m, component amp = premier ??? Would it be best to go with the 4ch prs-d4100f (75x4) using the deck's abilities to run the components w/out crossovers, or KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) the prs-d2100t (150x2) running through diamond's x-overs. Would there be any discernable difference in sq between the 2 setups? I plan on keeping my s2k until the end of time without running rear fill, so future planning is not an issue.

Im alittle confused...you could NOT use a crossover for the components, which would be silly, and if the tweeter is a true tweeter (highs only) you can enjoy it for about 5-10 seconds at a moderate volume level before it dies.

A little overdramatic, but you cant run a full range signal to a pure tweeter without some sort of filter to eliminate low/lower frequencies. When you say using the decks abilites for the components without crossovers, do you mean the decks preouts or the decks actual internal amp?? I took it as the decks amp without using the components crossovers. This would be bad, dont do it.

Either way, if those are the only speakers you will be running up front (the component set) Id go with a big two channel, and of course that would be through the comp. sets x-over.

He's talking about using the amp crossover to crossover the freqs for the tweets. It would work, but I'd rather just use a 2-chan and run it through the Diamond crossovers. Reason being that the Diamond crossovers are built with a crossover freq/slope designed for those speakers, whereas the Pioneer amp would require you to adjust (and thus leaves potential for damage to the speakers).

I can take pics to show you where to mount the crossover inside the door if you'd like (have the same speakers)

a possible advantage of biamping using the headunit's filters is that you
could use the time alignment to compensate for the split positioning of
the woofers and tweeters...
