Do anyone have pictures of their amp behind the seats?

What did you use to keep the amp flat on the rear panel?

My amp is just compressed between the rear panel and the back of the passenger's seat with the bottom edge on the floor. I have a Kenwood with a side fan so I don't have to worry about it overheating.

If you have top fins to cool the amp, you may not be able to do this.

The only disadvantage for me is passengers lose about 2" of legroom. It does not effect me (5'6") or my fiance (5'0"), but it makes it a little cramp for my tall friends over 6'0". For this reason, I'm considering moving it to the trunk or below one of the seats.

Good luck!

Let me take some measurements or find the manual and I'll get back to you.

Nice! Looks like you need a Muz Spare Tyre Mat, though.

I have a 150 watt JL Audio amp that my local Sound Advice put behind the passenger's seat for me, in addition to some JL Audio separates with the tweeters in the A-pillars. Made a huge improvement. Now I can hear the news with the top down at 78 mph. The amp location is no big deal for 5'6" me or my 5'3" wife, but my 6'2" father was not too comfy. I was going to have the amp over the gas tank, but the Sound Advice folks said whenever they ran wiring harnesses along the left side of the car, it introduced noise, thus the amp ended up on the right.

Any problems in just putting the amp underneath either seat? If its not huge, it should fit and not stick it more than an inch or two.

Its best to have your amp in the trunk or where zoinks has his. Amps need air to circulate.

Zoinks, looks great. Is that a professionally installed system? Also, I guess underneath the amp sits a piece of plywood?
