Default does radar detector helps?

I counted how many tickets i got from previous years, finally I found I paid over $2000 on "Speeding"....

I am thinking get one radar detector if nesseccary..But I don't know if that thing works? If it coule help( at least I don't need to be worry about the getting speeding ticket next time), then I would like to hear which brand and model you guys currently use and worked as well. ALso I would like to know which brand got the higher reputation on Radar detector manufactories.

The 2 radar detectors that are actually worth a damn are the Valentine V1 and the escort passport 8500 X50. Both of them are pretty much identical performance wise. The v1 has direction arrows, telling you which way the radar is coming from, but the escort is 100 dollars less.

Both will help however nothing can beat a cop pacing you or a cop keeping his radar off before you come by, THEN shooting you. You'll be screwed either way

But hey if your in the market for an escort 8500. I can get you an Escort 8500 X50 for cheap. red or blue. brand new. but you pay shipping of course

I work at bestbuy
You'd be surprised...my best friend has an evo (irrelevant) and he has a Valentine 1. Him and I took a road trip last summer and we put both of our radar detectors next to each other the whole way...about 300 miles. The Escort was better in every single way.
