I have Sony 1621's. They are the cheapest of the "name brand" cheap. They drop right in but you need to splice in new connectors. I also saved my stock speakers and put them in as rear speakers. This setup works really well for me. But if you need higher end speakers, there are lots of choices. Go check out "Lucid's" web site. He's a forum sponsor and he does audio.

I had the Sonys, they fit, probably the best bet for drop ins, certainlly better than IEM. However not the best sounding though...

Now I have MB Quarts, much better.

I am considering the Polk Ex3560's also. Crutchfield has them on sale for 199.00. Perhaps you can comment on what Lucid said and if they need the adapters. If Lucid reads this perhaps you could fill in the details. I would like to order tomorrow if possible.

I've had Ifinity Kappas in the front for two years with an OEM head end -- got them at Crutchfield and used foam baffles to protect the speakers and improve the sound -- no complaints --
recently added Lucids high end Kenwood 2 ways for the rear -- the matching/mating is wonderful with fronts and rears-- the Infinitys carry the bass notes and the Kenwoods help the mid range -- it has a surround effect -- and I'm pretty hard to please in this department -- my home system cost the equivalent of more than five S2000's.
