Default Driver window won't go down with top

First let me say that I have already tried the process of going up and down and holding the button. It actually worked for a day or two, but It doesn't work anymore and I can't repeat my success. Is there anything else I can do? The window drops an inch or so when I lower my top. Everytime I depress the roof switch, the window lowers another inch and stops. Any ideas or where to dig or what you test? I have an 00' btw.

Thanks

It's something about a module that controls the top down/up. The passenger window is wire trough this box and that's why isn't working. I tried to serach but you know the search is not the best.

That definitely gives me a place to start looking. I'll grab the multimeter and start there. Thanks.

If it goes down by the window switch, the convertible top module is the most likely problem. I have a write up on how to test it around here somewhere. Youll need a multimeter. Ill find it in a bit

I think Romelo1680 is correct. There is a Service Bulletin that describes this problem and says to change the window regulator. I guess there is a bad ground in the regulator that causes this. No mention of any way to fix the ground issue.
