Duel 10 sub box design for trunk.
I have run into a problem and was wondering if any of you could help. I had built a fiberglass enclosure for my 2 8w3's about 5 months ago, I decided to swap in some 10's kicker comp subs about 2 months ago and everything seemed fine. But it seems that my box is no longer sealing correctly. Pulled it out and it looks like it is cracking from the new power of the bigger subs, (I really doubt this) or possibly from a small rear end collision that I had a while ago.
So I now have a problem, i can rebuild the box this weekend out of fiberglass or I can make a new design out of HDF. So has anybody used HDF do a dual 10 install yet or am I going to be limited by the space I need to create. I do not mind lossing more truck space to the install at this point. I would like to do a HDF box siply because I have reams of the stuff in the garage and I can get it to seal better then fiberglass.
Another thing, I just found a way to make colored plexiglass and would really like to find a way to work this into the box desgin and amp racks this time, so does anybody have any experience using this for box construction byond the usual veiwing window. I have access to a computer milling machine and would really like to try out some new idea's but I need a starting point so I do't make more stupid mistakes then I need to

No cuts or extreme bends, just simple backlighting and coloration, similar to the light up wind screen that someone posted here on the board a while back. I don't want to go with neon or the like. As for porting, it simply would not work well with my subs or the S2000 in general I believe.
The other option is to mount the subs upside down, IE facing the road build a smaller sealed box to mount them on and then so a plexi cover over the subs, maybe mount the amps in similar style on the side's.
Any suggestions I am open to .

Joe_s2k did the light up windsreen. he is local, but I have yet to remember to see it. Maybe later next week. But I read the installation post, and he just directed the lights at the edge of the winscreen. The S2000 engraved in the windscreen lit up. Kind the same way fiber optics work.
If you want to bend plexi, you can use a "strip heater". This is how the bend plexi to make fishtanks.

Actually, SilverS2kGuy did the illuminated windscreen setup that I was thinking about doing. Procrastination at its best.
