Thanks for the input kove. I guess I'll just order a door kit dynamat set, and that should take care of the rattle. My front components are amped, and with the volume turned up, the 6.5" woofers hit very hard, and cause the whole outter sheet metal on the door to vibrate.

Oh so I should do the panel too?

Anyways I was looking for rattles in my door, and I found out the main rattle came from the window when it is rolled down. Anybody else ever had this problem?
Yeah my damn windows rattle like crazy. So annoying!

I ordered a 36 sq ft box of dynomat from Amazon awhile back. It was cheap, and I was considering doing more than just the doors. I think I still have 30 sq ft left.

Since it is getting cold, make sure you keep the dynomat inside and not in the garage. It forms much better when it is warm. I kept the box inside, and pulled one sheet at a time as I needed it. I was working in a 50 deg F garage at the time.

Thanks for the tip operator. Since it's getting cold around here, I might just put off dynamatting the doors till spring (won't even have time to install it for another couple weeks, probably late Nov. Late Dec, I'll probably leave the s2k garaged till spring). I was a little concerned with applying it when it's cold out (may not stick), so I'll probably just wait at this point till spring time.

For anyone who has added sound deadner to their door, has it changed the feel of the door closing? It bugs me like crazy how clunky the sound of closing the door is. I thought a smooth latch was only reserved for expensive cars, but I've closed the doors in the newer subarus and they sound like a dream.

It will deaden the rattle of the door and make the close feel more solid, but adding weight to the door alone isn't always the best solution.

Dont even own a s2k but too get the most out of dynamate you need to apply to the outer door skin (other side of painted exterior).. cover the whole thing.. You can go easy on the part where the door panel attaches too.. wont even see that much of a difference..

and yes it will change the feel of how the door closes.. kind of how mercedes doors close.. it will be slightly heavier after too

Back in '05 when I bought the car new, I gutted the interior. FYI: it takes 144 sq. ft. to do the whole car. If I remember right, that much Dynamat Extreme added about 55lbs. to the car.......Pops loves his tunes!!!
