If your looking for a great radar detector then you should look at the V1 or the Escort 8500 X50. Both units are excellent... and honestly the only ones worth buying... the rest on the market are pretty much a waste of money.

What do you suppose this means?

Also knows as the "Radar Detector Dectector," the system provides complete protection against the VG-2 and Spectre I gun.
I guess what I think it means is that these people don't know wtf they're talking about, and that if you pay $99.95 plus shipping for this thing you'll get what you pay for, which is a fairly nice looking gadget to clutter up your windshield. And I bet you also get tickets due to the false sense of security it'll give you. HPH

I don't even see what brand it is. Are they that ashamed of it?
BTW, any detector that will "beep" just prior to you getting a ticket would be considered "early warning".

I am thinking it is a Whistler clone (not sure if that would make it better or worst)

Early Warning

If it is a "Whistler" or "Cobra" or low end "Bell" or "Uniden" or anything other than a Valentine or Passport, this would be my reaction to having one of these and thinking their EARLY WARNING means anything ...........................
You may as well drive down the road like this:

And have a friend sit next to you randomly ringing a little bell, 'cause about how often a 100 buck radar detector will go off.

Yeah, imo, the best early warning detector is the SUV you're pacing from 100 yards behind and frequent use of your rear view mirror.
