Eclipse Amp
I was wondering how well the eclipse EA3422 amp is. and shoudl i get a diffrent one befor ei order the other parts i ordered are the eclipse sc2854 compnet speakers and the eclipse avx2494. just wondering if this decent or not.
I used to work at a shop that sold Eclipse. All there products are of very good quality! Just make sure you purchase from an authorized dealer and have it installed by them. I know many people prefer to do there own installs but you get a 4 year warranty on decks/amps and a 2 year on speakers (if I remember correctly) if the dealer does the install. The "do it yourselfers" only get 1. Well worth the extra cost imo. One thing is the amps, though very clean, are a little under powered. They are good for sound quality but not for pure db. Hope this helps.
Speakers:
Sorry but I'm not finding any info on the component speakers you listed as SC2854. Did you mean SC8254?

If no, Can you provide some of the specs on what power ratings are for continuous.
If yes, these 8254's are rated at 100W continuous
Amp:
The amp your considering delivers 50W continuous, seems a bit underpowered for the speakers you ordered. you might find it hard to listen to it when the top is down and your maxing it out to compensate for wind noise.
Also, this doesn't give you any support if you ever plan to bridge it to use it to drive a sub later on.
You may want to look at something with a bit more power like the PA5422
AVX2494
This is one awesome piece of equipment. But, you do realize this is a double DIN size right. I think someone is going to have to be cutting for this to fit.
Definitely have your Eclipse professionally installed. I had a problem with my 8054 and they swapped it out in 20 minutes no questions asked. This AVX seems like something I'd want a pro to do.
One man's opinion.
Post some pictures when your done. I'd love to see the AVX.
