I have a polk momo 12" subwoofer- left over from my celica hatch- and its brand new so I dont want to get rid of it.
I wanted to know what box and which amount of watts I should go with to make it sound the cleanest.
I was told a sealed enclosure (downward facing under the soft top) with 500-600 watts RMS would be perfect.
What are your opinions?

Are these the right specs for your sub or do you have the one with the red painted center section?

I do know that polk makes an enclosure for that sub but I cant dish out another $175 for it, so I will make my own sealed enclosure.

 

I believe Lucid make a 12" fiberglass enclosure for the tool well, but you'll need to contact them and see if the 6-9/16" depth of those speakers will fit.

 

here's mine - custom made by a local cabnit maker for about $100.00

but check with PAS2KNut as i think he may be able to sell you one

I have a JL500/1 feeding my sub now and it sounds pretty good BUT i may switch to a ported box for more bass
