ECU damaged...options please!
I have a June 2002 S2K UK version that currently has the engine management light on, together with a misfire at low revs in 2.3.4 gears. The error given was P0135 primary sensor, which indicated that it could be the lambda sensor, which we replaced..interestingly the existing lambda sensor was from a Honda Jazz, so someone had been down this route before...new lambda sensor fitted - engine light still on. So I got an electrician to do some tests, wiring from lambda all ok and he found that there had been some damage (water ingress?) on the actual ecu on the pinouts for the oxygen sensors.
Really not sure where to go with this...is it possible to have the ecu repaired / cleaned? or do I have to get a new ecu.
One mechanic said I would need to get a 'virgin' ecu and get it mapped to my car, which would involve Honda at eyewatering costs. I see various ecus on ebay but preseumbly they would something doing before working on my car? Attached is a picture of the label from the ecu if that is of any help
Any helps with options would be great - thanks

Yes new second hand ecu might be your best choice here.
You would need to have it programmed for your car though otherwise the immobilizer will not let you start the car.
This involves a trip to the dealer but it should not be all that expensive since its a quick and easy job (if you know what to do).
If you are in the UK check the UK & Ireland S2000 Community of the forum for recommendations on dealers that has at least some idea what they are doing
