Default Elemental Designs e8a Build

I sent an email to elemental designs. I would like to acquire a couple e8a subwoofers. I am not sure what I started or if they will follow thru....

PAS2KNut, I remember having a conversation with you about these units. If you believe we can organize this, I am in. I don't know which direction to take...new design or proven old one.

I am too new to this to be organizing some form of group buy or what ever it takes to make this real. Anyone can take this ball and run with it. If it does work out, I would like to be on the list for 2 subs.

Please find e-mail attached.

Thanks,
Keith

I am very interested in your e8a subwoofer. I desperately want two of them for the rear of my honda s2000 as there are custom cabinets that fit the trunk wells. I am wondering why you do not produce it any more? I am sure you could set a group buy for at least 25 of your units on s2ki website at any time. Do you expect a more improved design in the near future? I would also consider refurbished units if you believe they are as good as new. Let me know what you think....Again I would think you could sell enough (even prepaid) to bring it back... Thanks for your reply. Keith (Surreal_S2k on s2ki.com)

We definitely could build a very similar product to the e8A but it would take us about 3 months to get it done and shipping to anyone.

If you could get 25 names together we'd jump into the project head over heals. We've got the design sitting for the 9Ov.2 which IS the replacement for the e8A wooofer.

If you got enough interest together we'd be happy to build them for you!

Hi Keith,

First I don't think you would need two of the e8's. Based on what I heard out of Philip's (PJK3) system when I was in Ga. If I were you I would buy two and install one, if it's not enough then add the other. Otherwise you could sell the second one. I'm sure you would have no problem selling it.

Now for the group buy. First I would post a "Testing the waters" thread in the electronics forum to see how many people would commit to the group buy. I would post specs, pricing, time to deliver, and then a list of people to see if you can get 25.

On another note I'm hoping to get my car back sometime next week so you will be able to see and hear it.

Jim

I agree with Jim that one e8A is enough sub in an s2k. I noticed you are registered for Fall Colors in a couple of weeks. Several of us who will be there are running a single e8A and you'll be able to hear it and judge for yourself before you place any orders.

I am definitely interested in an e8A. Hopefully we can get some sort of deal worked out!

Put me down for one!

for the people that have these, are you using WLaurent boxes? and what kind of wattage are you throwing at it?

PAS2kNut - I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing your s2k soon.
It must be getting exciting about now... I am at the 7 day/week
startup level at work, but will try to break free as soon as possible.

I do not know if you or someone you can recommend could move us
forward with eD. I do not have the knowledge base or experience to
help others with questions that will arise about group buys or
proper audio setup for an s2k.

papalegate - Thank you. I look forward to meeting you.

Others - I am only to the lurking level at s2ki. I really do not have much
experience with audio. I was thinking of the Wlaurent enclosures
to allow more space in the trunk. I tend to carry pullover jackets
and such on a regular basis.

I really hope to move this forward. I look forward to your replies.

Good news! WLaurent is going to contact eD.

Please follow the "A Good 8 inch Sub" by SolReborn for updates.

Now, about a good amp to go with them.....
