Default EPS Light

I have a 2007 that I have on a lift doing some work. I turned the steering wheel and now the EPS light is on. I've read about the pin shorting procedure on the OBDII to remove the light but I believe it's for 2005 and earlier. Is there a method for my2007? Thanks, appreciate the help.

There is a procedure to reset the EPS in the library (somewhere). Just takes a paperclip to connect two contacts on the OBD2 port and some wheel turning. The procedure worked on my 2006 (DBW) so should work on your identical (other than the tire pressure monitor) 2007.

(Only happened one time but now I remember why there's a bent paper clip in my console!)

Have you driven it since the light came on? I have seen the EPS light come on before when running an S2k on jack stands, testing clutch stuff and other various things with it running. Then after driving it about 20 feet, it turned back off and all was normal. For example, was bleeding the cooling system on a friends s2k with it on jack stands (we just put a motor in) and held it at about 2500 rpm after it started warming up. After a few min of that the EPS light came on. Finished bleeding, sat the car down for a test drive and the light turned off before we got to the end of the driveway to my shop. Never came back on for the full test drive and a long idle time after that while we were checking things out.

Thanks for both your replies. The car has been off the ground for the past 5 months while I bring it back to it former self. So a least once a week I do run the car and hold it at 3000rpm until the fan cycle twice. I have not driven so maybe once I do the EPS will go out. If not I'll try Chuck recommendation.
Just wasn't sure if the paperclip trick would work on 2007, in case I need it. But since it worked for Chuck I now feel that it should work for me. Thanks again for your help.

Just forgot to ask. When doing this procedure the car has to be on the ground, correct? Thanks

All 4 wheels were off the ground caused this to happen (to me) and my guess is I fixed it while the wheels were still off the ground.. Try it. Let us know. As I noted this happened to me one (1) time fooling around when the car was on my frame lift.
