Default Extra USB charger on radio circuit?

Would it be ok to tap 12+ and ground of the radio circuit to install an aftermarket USB charger like:

https://www.conrad.be/p/procar-67323...-usb-a-1172667

Or is this a no-go?

Maybe with an additional in-line fuse?

You can get ignition switched and non switched 12vDC directly off the fuse block under the dash. No need to cobble something together or tap into anything.

A photo of the connections will no doubt magically appear as soon as someone else reads this.

Your wish is my command!

E - on with the headlights
D - on all the time
C - on with the ignition

Thanks, what kind of connector fits into that ? And I am guessing this still requires a fuse since it is "unfused" by default?

Yep, will need a fuse.

Standard 1/4" connector. Picture from the Lowes website. You need the one on the right.

Thanks!

I tried something new yesterday: my new HU has USB but with a normal USB cable in it, I can't close the door. So I took the slimmest USB cable that I got lying around and dremeled off as much as I could to make the door close. I then threaded the cable over the HU to the back and then back out from the side. So as long as this works, I am not going to need the extra usb charging port.

If you’d like the actual connector of it, i mean the spade works fine but if you want options.
