I've used both and the US spec model doesn't lock up like the Honda music links have.

"Lock up" meaning lock out the ipod or "lock up" meaning a system malfunction?

The Music link's have been known to stop working randomly.

Because If I did purchase a head unit im gonna buy a nicer one than $170 and my current one isn't broken so im not gonna worry about it replacing it. Everyone says the sound quality sucks in s2000's and a head unit will help but I think it sounds just fine the rollbar speakers which were added in 06 probably helped some. I don't know though It's a possibility I just dont want to lose the dash control function.

I've never been one for loud stereos, the OEM stuff suits me fine. I've even driven without a radio for over a year without missing it a bit.

The US Spec kit is cheaper than the OEM Music Link and offers the same level of iPod controls with a OEM radio.

Just ordered the US Spec kit last week and will get it this week. Any trick to installing it? Do I have to pull the head unit or can I get enough access from the rear to plug in the harness?
