Feb 06 - What Bluetooth Headset works in S2000?
So, I'm not even worried about top-down for now. I just want something usable with good volume, and good audio (both ways). Our s2000's have a lot of road noise even with the top up.
Motorola HS850 - very clear sound (out and in), but the volume is way too low. when driving with top up, I could barely hear some callers without keeping one hand on the headset and jamming it closer to my ear.
Plantronics Discovery 640 - in ear design solved the volume problem I had with the 850. In fact, sometimes it's too loud. But the mic is so sensitive, it picks up everything - including magnifying the road noise even with the top up! Bad enough that people on the phone with me, don't want to listen to the noise.
So what headsets are working for you guys? I've heard some good things about the BT800 and the noise cancellation it has. How's the volume on it?
How about the Nextlink Bluespoon AX? I've also heard good things, but have also heard the mic may pick up too much noise as well?
What's the ultimate headset for the s2000?
thanks

I've been using the Motorola H700 with OK results.
I just put the volume all the way up and I can hear people pretty well. People can hear me well too.
I have HKS exhaust too
However, sometimes when talking to someone who is really quiet voiced, it can be really difficult and I have to switch back to handset (Girlfriend when she is trying to sleep).

I use the motorola H500 and It works ok for the most part. There are random times here and there that I have trouble hearing, but It's only 1 or 2 people. They're soft-spoken so I don't have that problem with anyone else.
The Plantronics MX505 works well in the S with top up or down; it cancels out most of the noise. It's wired though
The Bluetooth headset I have, some crappy Motorola one, is inaudible in the car (and sometimes in the office).

I haven't tried it myself, but I have heard a lot of good things about the Logitech Mobile Traveler headset and it's ability to work in noisy environments. It's supposed to be very good at quieting down the noise at the mic so others can hear you.
I have a jabra 250v. works fine w/ top up. Easier to hear using the longer eargel (works more like earplug then) to block out the exhaust drone. Top down is a different matter. Last I tried person couldn't hear me at all.

Huge thumbs down for the motorola H3 paired to the V3C. Tons of static, lots of trouble connecting with the phone, I'm not totally sure if its the phone or the headset but its nearly impossible to use in the S2K.
definitely check out howardforums.com for some good info.
