[QUOTE=NFRs2000NYC,Jan 10 2007, 04:08 PM] AS far as consumer electronics go, JVC is in the top 3.

I don't know about "worst" brand especially nowadays when everything is coming from China anyways from every company.

But for the features you get in a 1-din unit, with a 3.5 " screen. with HDD, DVD, and NAV. I'm all over it. Exactly what I've been looking for.
very true, not tryin to break anyone's spirits on this just my opinion.... and it is a very good idea

jvc doesnt even make TVs.
Is that why they list about 40 different models on their US web site?

I've had my AVX1 for over a year with no issues.

It depends on which level you're buying in at. I've seen bottom end HU's from all of the major bands die. One particular Sony I went through 3 before I got one that worked.

A lot of peple will compair a $85 unit from oe brand with a $500 HU from another brand. Can't do that.

$ fot $ the JVC has a lot of features for the price. The AVX1 and 2 both work well and seem to hold up well.

I don't think it will be hard to read. The AVX1 has a small screen on it and it's easy to read text, see icons and you could watch a movie on it if you wanted to (that would be hard to see, but it's possible).

I'm installing video upgrade soon as it has even more features that come to life with additional monitors. But in the year+ I've had it installed I've not once wished for a bigger screen. I'd like a bigger one, but it isn't something I've needed.
