I finally got my system installed after all the questions and indecisiveness. I've got the JVC MP3 player hooked up with the PAC remote. It works wonderfully! Sony 1621s are in the front doors. I decided to use my Dremel I had from college to cut out the rear panels to install the 4" Polks Lucid style. I used a hard cardboard as a template before making the final cut. It took about 3 hours to do. I've got a Sony Xplod sub sitting in a Q Logic truck box. The box fits awesome in the well. It's nice and tight and is very secure without bolts and screws. The Kenwood 800 watt 5 channel amp is hooked up to all the speakers behind the seat. A Rockford Fosgate Capacitor helps with the power. Overall, I am very happy with the way it sounds. The amplified rear speakers sound great and are highly recommended. I plan on switching out the Sony 6.5s for something better later, perhaps the Polk 6.5. I would like to thank everyone for helping out with all my questions and comments. Now I can hear my music!!
thats a very nice setup, I very much like the Headunit, I was considering it, but I wanted the dash controls to work...how does PAC work exactly if you don't mind me askin
It actually works by taking the IR transmission from your remote and then re-sending that same signal out via a wired remote. It is hooked up to the dash controls and each button is bound to a button on your remote. After programming toss the remote in your glove box and use the dash controls.
Sweet, I have it setup the same way. Except the box is facing the other direction in mine. So do you notice any difference with how it sounds as far as the direction of the box goes?
