I dunno how he did his but I left the tools and holder in place, I just dropped the sub on top of it..

 

The box just sits on top of everything. Everything for the car just stays there. That's why it's so nice. I don't notice any difference in the speaker by having it the other way. I only put it like the picture because it looks better.

 

Wow, I swore I would never drop a sub in the truck but it seems so easy now with that box. $46 hmmmmm...... ;0 :0 !

BTW, does the sub rattle at all?

 

Not much rattle out of my qlogic box...the bass is deep and tight, with very little distortion. Definitely helps out alot and to me is the most bang for the buck as far as the sound system is concerned.

 

With a bit of work you can get a box to drop into the floor and make a new flat floor. I will be sporting it down at Fall Colors. I had to pull out the belt sander to really make it fit right. Then I made 3 boards to fit into the back floor to make a new falce floor.(flat floor now)

Here are the Box dimentions:
top / bottom 23x15
sides 4.75x15
front / back. 21.5x4.75

This setup sits about a inch above the floor. Hence the need for the new floor.(though it makes things look nice too!) It holds a single 12" speaker. Im still waiting on a amp to be repaired before I can test the system out.
