i know i'm late for this semi-update, but MAN you guys have no idea how PIMP this thing is. i put it on the night i got it, and am just waiting 'til tomorrow or monday for my 250/1 (second amp) to come in. i already have my 500/5 on there, and it's my favorite audio mod so far.

jim hooked me up!

all i need to complete my audio set up now are these two things:
JL Audio - Remote Bass Controller (RBC-1)
JL Audio - Stealth Box (10w3v2)

i'll post the following day after my amp comes in (sunday or tuesday). thanks jim x 10!

Thanks moyopoyo! I'm glad you are happy with the result. Here is a picture after I covered it.

The holes you see are for the wires for the two amps. These holes will not be on the flat cover unless the owner wants to mount the amps on the outside like moyopoyo is mounting his.

I will be making a few more covers this weekend for a couple more owners.

PAS2KNUT,

Please put me on the waiting list for one of these. Just a couple of questions:

What are the slots for?
I have in mind a specific amp that's 13" X 8.7" X 2.5". Will it fit there?
How much will you be asking?

Thanks!

The slots were so you could pull all your wires through (Power, Ground, Remote, RCA, Speaker) I put them on both side so the Power, Ground, and Remote could be on one side and the other wires could be on the other. There would be no problem with the amp size you have listed. Moyopoyo is mounting two amps on his JL 250/1 and JL 500/5 and his are 9.25 wide. The width is the critical measurement because of the trunk springs. Moyopoyo paid $150 for his plus shipping which is less than $10.

You've got PM.
Thanks,
Jim

I like this product. I may be interested, haven't decided how much trunk "blingage" I want. How do the fans get power?

The fans are powered through the amp distribution block and a relay.

An airtight MDF version of this cover could make an excellent barrier for an infinite baffle setup. Not the direction I'm headed. Just a thought.

I'm currently out in the ocean on a cruise. However, when I get back on Saturday I will be checking with the two guys I've shipped racks to. I want to make sure everything is working the way it was designed and that they did not have any issues with the install. If all is ok I will more than likely start a group buy. Thanks for the interest.

Jim
