Focals lost their bass depth
Hi,
Faced with little problem with my Focals k2p.
I run them with Audison LRx 4.5 in my S.
When I installed the speaker, I hooked them up with some cheap wires (speaker-crossover wire) because I had no more stinger I ordered, everything has been spent on amp-to-crossover. And actually they sounded great, with very deep bass, and really liked them.
But I don;t like half-job and decided to reconnect them with a good hi quality wire.
So, yesterday I removed speakers and connected them with new wires and put them back.
After that they were sound ok, but not so deep like before. I played with amp and equalizer in HU, but still the same. Also, the interesting thing is when I change balance in the HU to only on of the speaker, they speak as they should, with really deep bass.
during rewiring speaker I removed soundproofing from that part of the door where small plastic box is located on the door panel (usually people put the crossover in there so do I), can that be the cause of that problem?
I have no idea what happened, it is not like there is no bass at all, it just no so juicy as before.
Any advice will be helpful.
