Fogs
I am having the Odyssey fog lights installed at the same time my front bumper is repainted. Seeing as I don't want to cut my dash, the shop installing the fogs recommended piggybacking the fogs to the low beams. The shop called this morning and told me that this wouldn't work. So I told the shop to just install the fogs with the odyssey button that came with the fog lights and leave it hanging up under the dash, figuring I could take care of it later when I find a better solution. What I would like to do is wire the fogs to the passenger window lock switch on the door panel. Is this possible and, if so, how would I go about doing it? I haven't dealt with wiring since high school physics so its time to relearn. Any advice/guidance you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
I'd prefer the window switch but, if that would be a huge pain, the low beams are my back-up option.
I wonder why the shop said they couldn't be wired into the low beams? I didn't think this would be a problem.

I don't know why the shop said it couldn't be done.... maybe they thought because of them be HID's you couldn't do it for some reason.
If you want to use the window switch you'll have to work on the circuit board... do you know how to do that, de-solder and solder on a circuit board?

No, the circuit board would be beyond me at this point I think, which is a shame because it would be awesome to have the window lock switch operate the fogs instead. The other thing I was thinking of was using one of the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel to engage the fog lights such that when the cruise control switch to the left of the steering wheel was off, the cruise buttons on the steering wheel would control the fogs, and when the cruise control button to the left of the steering wheel was on, the cruise buttons on the steering wheel would have their normal function. But I would have to work on the circuit board for this as well, wouldn't I? Man I wish I had some wicked electronics skills. Damn frustrating. I'd really like that window switch to work on the fogs.
So my best bet would probably be to wire the fogs to the headlights?
