Default footwell and general lighting

Has anyone tried adapting existing LED products? I bought some LED lighting for my PC that plugs into the USB port for power and has a control box for color select and abuilt in mic for sound activation. As far as I know the USB port supplies +5V. Why not rig a 12v plug cable with a voltage regulator diode/resistor and use these for the footwell? Or anywhere else for that matter? I'll try it and post the results.

WHY? Are you loosing things in the vast dark regions of the cavernous S2000 footwells? Sounds to me like you want to cook up some rice. How about you go ahead and try this out for us, only don't post the results...

Welcome to the forums...I'm working on a solution right now for the footwell lights (already have one for the windscreen). In fact, I just resolved a flakiness issue, which means I'll be ready to send the boards off for production once I modify the board layout a bit.

How about you keep your self-important comments to yourself and don't bother posting at all? You may not agree with what some of us like, but it serves no purpose pissing in someone else's cornflakes.

44runner, you must be new around here. IMO there are several members around here who are more than generous with their support and friendliness: mac, xviper, modifry, docofmind just to name a few. i suggest you lose the attitude before you become the board leper because no one likes an asshole.

Wow, I didn't realize that was still used as a "I'm cooler than you" prod once you left middle school....more power to you, then.

As Rob said, I think you'll find your time here much more enjoyable if you only offer your opinion on a subject when it's specifically asked for. There are thousands of people here who modify their car (note the use of the word "their", not "your") they way they see fit, and negative comments about their opinions are rarely warranted.

Continue being a pain the ass and you'll quickly find yourself looking for a new handle...'cause this one will get locked. The choice is yours, but this is NOT vtec.net or some other board that swarms with dumbasses who are allowed to be continual idots. Everyone has an opinion, but here it's displayed as constructive criticism, not "My shifter is bigger than yours".

Hey, if someone wants to lock my handle that's fine and their right to do so, but you guys are the ones name calling, so who's in middle school now?

I call something rice and MacGyver got his feelings hurt, I can't control that. In my time here I have noticed I am not the only one who dislikes rice. Lights for light's sake, that gentleman, is rice.

And about my time here, wortham. If you take a look right under my handle it will tell you exactly how long I have been here. That way you can avoid really lame intro sentences like the one you used in your last post.

wortham, I'm sure Mac is a great person, but how about you allow me to find that out for myself. I doubt he needs you to stick up for him just as I doubt Mac needs to stick up for aejazz_s2k.
