Default Friend seems to have broken the factory HU

My friend's 2003 Honda Accord has a broken HU. The LEDs all went out at once on him. I think it still playes, but he can't see it in the dark.

Does anyone have a line on a cheap factory replacement? Anyone remove one of these lately and have it laying around the shop?

Let me know, thanks.

isnt that the one with the ac controls integrated? there is not cheap factory replacement. if you add an aftermarket head to it you keep the factory radio and put the new one in a kit that takes the place of the pocket down below.

i don't think they went the route of hyper integration until 2004... i'm not entirely sure tho. i know the Ody's went that way in 04.

my mistake. thanks for pointing it out. it was actually 03 and newer. up to 02 you should be able to use any double din radio or or single din with the factory pocket setup. one screw behind the clock and 2 below to get the bezel off.

this is the one i was thinking about. its fugly.
