Ghetto Pods
So I just finished installing more speakers. I have a Pioneer Premier 770 with I-Pod adapter and DCI. I use to have some old Kappa's in the door and upgraded to reference components. I have an MY-00 so the tweeters up higher was a big plus. No more passengers drowning out the highs. Also the sound doesn't change when using the clutch. I really like the sound of these speakers. Since I had the 6.5" Kappas I spared no expense installing them in the roll hoops. Check out the pictures.
[QUOTE=LATEOTT,Jan 9 2006, 07:53 PM]I used similar plastic ties like that for my audio install. The ones I used are audiophile-grade, manufactured by AudioQuest, so they cost a bit more (Although I feel like I stole them for $37,000 at an astounding 10% off.)
I found it made my entire system sound more authoritative and present.

Anyone thinking of buying spods or lucid panels should give this a try for a couple days. It only takes about 10 minutes and will give you an idea of what it will sound like before you spend $250 dollars on spods. It would work as a permanent solution but I don't have any plans of keeping it this way. It isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I definitely give a
to rear speakers. Sure the imaging is not as good as it use to be but you can hear it loud and clear at 80 with the top down. I will post an update once I get around to my permanent solution.
