Default Gonna get a system together, wanting some input

I have a kenwood excelon kdc-x791 HU while the remainder of my audio system remains stock. The music I mainly listen to is rock and metal and I'm looking to upgrade the door speakers and add in a sub. Now since I listen to mainly rock/metal I want to have a decent bass response from a sub. I've located an enclosure that seems like it'll work Link to enclosure I'm thinking of getting a 10 or a 12 and I want to go for good response and sq from the sub, as well from the inside speakers. I probably have around 700 bucks to work with for the sound system. Could you fellow s2ki'ers recommend me some speakers, amps and subs within a 700 dollar budget? I'm not trying to go for the best system out there, I just want a system that'll sound good and not break the bank.

I'm in the market for a new audio system right now. So far I've just got these S-POD replicas and these Infinity Kappa speakers I'm looking at getting. I have an electronics background but the peculiarities of stereo is a different language. These will run me less than $300. I still need a new HU, a modfiry DCI with PnP harness, cables, fuses, connectors, BEER for the install
Here's some good DIYs

AP2 DIY

Here's the components I'm looking at getting:

Seriously, guys, don't waste money on S-pods (or replicas). A quality set of speakers and amp for the doors should be plenty of sound (even with the top down on the highway).

I haven't been in an S2K with S-PODS. Why are they not worth it?

1) Have you ever been to a concert with speakers behind the crowd?

2) Spods run, what, $150+. Putting that $150 into upgrading your 100x2 to a 100x4 or better speakers will give you better SQ and more volume than the Spods will add.

OK, well here's my system and its within the $700.
Of course the most important thing is you must be able to intall stuff yourself.

$120 shipped- PPI 356cs. Ebay. Big thread about it in this section.
$75 shipped- Ebay box.
$95 shipped- 10" RE se sub. Heard nothing but good feedbacks on these.
$155 Shipped- Clarion DPX2251 180x2 @4ohms 300x2 @2ohms.
$130 Shipped- Clarion DPX1851 850x1 @2ohms.
Those are from Crutchfield and the price is $20 off that you can find fairly easy.
$60- 2 sets of Soundquest 4 gauge amp kits from buy.com. I have these kits and they are true 4 gauge wires.

Thats $635 right there.
Oh yeah, you need to build your own amp rack or get one from Pas2knut for $75.
I made my own and it was very easy and I fitted 2 amps in there no problem.
I have everything I listed except for the RE sub.
To me, thats a budget system that sounds great.
If you want, switch out the 2 channel amp for a 4 and run active on the comps.
That Clarion DPX2251 is a overkill for just running a set of comps but damm its so freakin cheap.
