I'm considering going with 2 Alphasoniks in WL boxes myself. i haven't figured out what to do about an amp yet though. I've got an old Sony amp running some Bazooka tubes (holdover from previous car) right now, but I'm going to need to beef that amp up for the Alphas.

Well I just ordered an alphasonik 608... thanks to Icemn2003. I'm sorry to be moving from 2 WLaurent boxes to just one... but I guess I have no choice with the amp I'm using.

thanks to everyone who helped out!

Solreborn, let us know once you install that bad boy. I want to know your impressions of the sub and how it performs. I spoke to Iceman too and he described the sub to be exactly what I want.

Sure thing! I will compare it to 2 8" rockfords I had powered by a DOODOO sony amp. Maybe this ONE will out perform those TWO!

Sorry guys - my PM box got all filled up and would not accept anymore PM's

The Alphsonik 608 is a pretty nice sub for the money.

I am only aware of one 8" that will not fit in the enclosures and it is the JL 8W7 (I am doing a custom fit for someone right now on one, even though the sealed volume is not optimal).

I like the Polk MOMO 8" for single voice coil 4 ohm applications, or for dual sub appplications

Wish the E8A was not discontinued by ED.

WLaurent you have PM.

Wish the E8A was not discontinued by ED.
I was reading threads and came across this one. There may be a good chance that eD will build more e8As if we want them. WLaurent seems to be the perfect fit since his enclosures would hold a considerable portion of the speakers sold.

Let me know if you would be interested.....

I will call the ED guys on Monday and see what they are thinking as far as a limited run/group buy thing.

Cheers
