Default Good Audio installer in South Jersey?

Hey all, I'm thinking about upgrading to a new headunit, amp, and speakers. Maybe a sub, too.

Does anyone know of a good shop in South Jersey?

Last time I had a system installed was 1994, by Louis, owner of Audio Trends by the Garden State Plaza, but I can't find any info on him now.

I don't mind paying for a good installation, but after the mess the first shop made in '94, I'll never go somewhere without recommendations.

Thanks,
Dave

Streeteffectz....bar none the best work Ive seen short of company show cars themselves.

Ron, Craig and Dave are very very nice guys.

www.streeteffectz.com
732-388-7000
They are redoing their website....(which was very nice hte first time)
(I am not affiliated with them in any way)

They win the best A/V at all the HIN.....stop by the shop and check out craig's BMW. $120,000 in audio/video (no I am not exaggerating)

And before Bass decides to throw me a beatdown ....Ive never had any work done to MY car by them. Just 2 of my friends cars, and Ive hung out with them a number of times. I know others will say that they know shops just as good, but these guys are truly talented, incredibly creative, and would shock you with their work.

from what i've done / watched/ had done to my cars over the years, i can say that the S is pretty easy to upgrade the things you've asked for and if you don't plan to show the car but rather just have a great sounding system why not check with the local guys and gals of the Metro club. heck i'm willing to bet that even Billman could do you system for a lot less.

i am sure there are some electronic junkies that will help you out for a whole lot less than any shop will charge to purchase / install your items. furthermore the prices at most shops are so inflated that it's ridiculous -

NFRs2000NYC isn't there anyone in the Metro club willing to help a new owner??

Diamond Dave - everything you need to know is right here and if you have a question - there are a ton of smart folks here that will help

Nah, Im over it. Im cool with everyone.

I was under the impression that you want the whole deal done. If you just want an amp, components, headunit, Ill be glad to do it.

I guess I ASSumed you wanted a bling bling trunk.

Hey, thanks, I wasn't expecting to find someone who could actually DO an install I've done headunits, but I worry about screwing things up once I get past that.

I'm not into bling at all. I just want good sound with the top down at 80mph, if that's possible. I listen to mostly classic rock, and I like some kick to it.

As far as head unit goes, I listen to CDs, never listen to radio, and don't care about XM. I like something with a rotary volume control, and/or connected to the dash controls with one of Modifry's DCIs. I don't care about screen info, 'cause I never look at it. As long as the sound is good, I'm happy.

My old system was in a '94 T-Bird SC, with a custom sub box with two 12" JL Audio subs. I forget what the amp for that was, although I still have it (and the box with the subs) in the attic.

Here is what I suggest Dave....

Since John opened up his shop/bbq place, have him build you a sub enclosure that you like. THen, you can purchase all the components, and Ill put it in for you. I have a garage I can keep your car in, Ill need about a full day (about 5 hours of real labor, but food and beer slow me down.

Hey, thanks!

I'll have to research some stuff now - I haven't looked at anything in years. I guess I'd like to keep it below $1500 if possible, but I think I spent $3k in '94, including installation.
