Default The good old OEM CD player...

Ok guys, you know this stuff, my questions:

1. Any idea to upgrade the head unit without changing speakers if we tlk sound quality? (2003 CD player)
2. Is it correct that the radio code is 5 numbers?
3. Any idea how to unlock it? Pushing the "number buttons" wont work.

Thanks!

You'll see a big improvement in sound quality from upgrading to a head unit with relatively high power output, but the biggest improvement in sound quality will come from the addition of an external amplifier.

Here's a thread on what to do if you lose your code (the little card that comes with the car), or want to get your code prior removing your OEM head unit.

Thanks, will start looking for a nice low weight audio package.

About the code, I think I have the code but can´t figure out how to unlock the stereo, got a five digit code from the old car owner.

Are you trying to unlock it to take it out? For me the only time I had to enter the unlock code was when I disconnected the battery and it prompted me.

I just upgraded my HU and from stock to an old Sony HU to a new Sony HU and it made a really big difference. I would probably end up upgrading the speakers in the future, but I don't listen to my music that loud and I'm satisfied without an amp =)

Just relocated the battery, now I need to enter the code but can´t figure out how to do it, dots and stuff in the display.

Yeah, will start looking for a new HU with USB and stuff, just wanted the OEM to work for now.

Hmmm sorry I can't help you then - when I plugged the batter back in and started the car, it just said: Enter Code or something like that. Then I just punched in the code in the manual. Good luck

yes it is 5 digits, what I did was call honda of america on there 1800 number, they will ask for your vin code and serial number on the radio. After answering a few questions they will give you your code, it took me about 5 mins.
