Default Good replacement for speakers in '01?

I'm looking for recommendations for speakers either OEM quality or better that are a direct fit. I dont need anything amazing, really. OEM quality is fine. I read the faq, but it gave me dimensions and not any recommendations on specific products.

thanks!

If you're not interested in improving your sound, any old speaker will do just fine. If you just want a speaker that fits, www.crutchfield.com has a vehicle-specific fit tool.

edit: not to sound like a jerk, but the OEM speakers in this car are really lousy. I think you would be hard pressed to find an aftermarket speaker that sounds worse than stock.

if you dont wanna mess with tweaters and an amp a simple coaxial speaker will work wonders over stock. Check out Infinity Reference ,...i "hear" all Infinitys fit ,....our doors are really shallow so only a few actually fit without mods to the speaker basket. I know you can hear the Infinitys at Best Buy.

I agree on the Infinity Reference Series. I was going to replace / add speakers and swap the head unit too. I got the 6002si speakers and the improvement was so great I never did anything else. Cost was only around $100. This was about 5 years ago so speaker models and cost are likely different now. This was one of the best mods I ever did. Still enjoying the sound too.
