OEM speaker baskets

Will the stock door speakers have more bass, or volume if the backs of the speaker baskets are cut out?

Personally I don't think you'd gain anything but maybe a few of these guys know better.
If the speakers fit without cutting, leave them as they are.

you'll hear no difference. the basket is used for water protection only. only cut it if you need to.
