Any others out there? I'd like to get a GPS but just don't know where it would go. At this point my favorite is probably just to join the dash cutting club, but it kind of worries me when I'm on a road trip and not parked in the garage.

I remember a member from Greece installed one in the change tray/ cupholder area of his AP1. Search for some pics.

I think Rick was also going to be making some trim panels that run across the top of the windshield that are molded to fit certain Garmin units. The stock sun visor (drivers side) is replaced with a Garmin unit.

At least with most Garmin units, a clip type dash mount is included. This clip comes with both semi-permanent or permanent double sided sticky tape. I used the semi-permanent one to locat the clip on my dash. I only put the GPS into the car when I do a road trip and I put it out of sight when I park.

I hate the portable units - just get a double din and retrofit it man!

You already have all the engine toys!

This is the Pioneer Z1:

That unit didn't come out before I cut my dash so I used the Eclipse AVN5495 which is just as nice but 1/2" smaller screen:

I just thought I'd throw in some pictures of my setup. It's a Navman pin 100. I've had it for a while and the maps are a bit outdated but it's cool.
