Green Wiring Harness Under Center Console

Default Green Wiring Harness Under Center Console

I pulled out my center console to try to find a fix to the cup holder being loose and, completely unrelated, I found a green wiring harness that is connected to nothing and there is no where to connect it. I know nothing about electronics, so I was hoping someone else could shed some light on this for me?? Yes, I searched this forum and googled it and could find nothing.

Probably the loom for the heated rear window?

Why would I have that if it's a 2000? They only came with plastic rear windows.

There appears to be a factory green connector down there (ignore the speaker wires). It could be wiring to the
optional hardtop. If that connector is not what you are talking about, perhaps the P.O. had an alarm with some
component (alarm module or proximity sensor mounted there.)

Yeah, that's the wire I'm talking about! So it's just for a hardtop? What would that be for though? The defroster for the hardtop window?

It's just a guess, but the hardtop defroster wiring does appear to go through the center console:
