Default Defogger on 1999 non hardtop version

I'm trying to rewire my Honda to achieve this and have replaced the rear wiring harness so that I have changeover relay etc I have also added the switch and wiring to the centre console. The switch illuminates when I switch on sidelights but I have an unconnected yellow/black wire which terminates in a bullet connector. My local Honda dealer was happy to sell the harness and switch etc but can't tell me where to connect the wire. Can anyone please help?

00's with a plastic window soft top don't have a defroster. Are you tring to make the defroster work for the Hardtop, or did you convert the car to a defrosted glass rear window?

is the wiring the same ones hardtop guy sells? if so i could prolly try to find the the easy instructions that came with it. does the center console when to take it out. does it have a plug? becuase from what i can remember you plug that piece in and behind the driver seat take out the panel that has the speaker and there should be another plug, that you plug into. something like that, sorry in i have confused you, cuz i kind of confused myself...lol

Thanks to all who have replied.
Sorry I wasn't very clear, its a two stage job I've fitted the hardtop and plug and connected it into my new rear wire harness which comes from the later car. At this stage I haven't replaced the softtop (and frame) but I intend to do so once the hardtop defogger works.

Josh I have connected the plug that you speak about and also the softop motor disabling connections, but still have the one in my post to connect.

There are different HT install kits to make the defroster work depending on the VIN of the car in the US. Not sure if euro cars are any different. The HT installation instructions cover the wiring install, the dealer can print them out for you.

Hi to all,
I have it solved now the wire didn't connect anywhere the sub harness wasn't needed! Honda still couldn't tell me how to connect it and I examined the original wiring harness from the car and there is no bullet connector to plug into. The defogger operating light works but haven't yet tested the defogger fully but the circuit is complete.
