Handheld Nav.
Hey, a fellow sailor! A sunfish is a great boat, especially for Lexington Reservoir. I keep a Moore24 in the harbor in Santa Cruz. And, I am definitely not planning on towing anything with the S2K. When the sun is out, my roadster is going to take me over HWY17 to the harbor with ice chest and sailing gear in the trunk.

I've also got a GPS III+ and have been tinkering with it for the past few weeks. It is amazing the kind of information you can get from it. There's also a version called the StreetPilot which I have a hankering to check out. I know that it's larger and cannot take downloaded maps in county sized chunks (need metro area sized BIG chunks) so it will cost more, but it has one feature I think I could really use. It will display street names as you turn onto them and it will calculate routes via surface roads, not "As the crow flies".
Since I don't sail my own boat or fly in planes often, the primary reason I want one of these units is for surface roads navigation. So anyone here have a StreetPilot that they can give us a review on?
Also, I hear Garmin is coming out with a StreetPilot III that will give voice directions and calculate routes, etc. Rumor has it that it's close to $1000 though.
Anyone have a StreetPilot that they would like to trade for a III+ and some cash? Email me?!
