Default Hardwiring Radar Detector

I saw a writeup a few weeks back that showed how to tap into the power source under the driver's side dash. It also included parts and whatnot, and now I can't find it. I thought I had subscribed, but I guess not.

So does anyone have a link to a good writeup on how to hardwire a radar detector? I mainly was wondering how to tap into the power panel under the dash. What size spade connectors and such.

thanks.

where can you find parts for the wind deflector mounts?
radio shack no longer carries them.
can someone fabricate some?

if you have one available, pm me.

As far as the connector size, get a female 1/4" for the power and just about any O-ring size for the ground.
