HDMI Switch
I have a 25 ft HDMI cable from the TV (a Samsung about 5 years old) to the Direct TV box. I want to add a DVD player to the system sharing the same 25 ft HDMI cable to the TV. I have the direct TV box, then a HDMI cable connected to input 1 of the HDMI switch. I then have DVD player to HDMI cable to input 2 of HDMI switch. I then have my 25 ft HDMI cable connected to my TV. Here is my HDMI Switch.
The HDMI switch lights up but I can't get the TV to work. I'm thinking I either have a bad switch or I need the optional 5 volt power source (which I can't seem to find a part number for) ... Any ideas?

With that switch, you're now up to ~31ft (25+6) AND going through a switch.
That's just too much...add the 5V power source. Pretty much any 5V AC adapter with the right polarity at or above the current requirement will work.
