That depends on what features you want.

If you want a full speed iPod control with a hard wired DCI connection with a Modifry/etc DCI then get a CDA-9857. If you don't mind the IR transmiter sitting there, a lesser display (as far as daytime visibility goes) but still want the iPod fullspeed get the CDA-9856, if you just want something to play CDs that is an alpine get a CDA-XXXX....

Edit: Of course I was assuming that you want to use the dash controls and use a Modifry or other DCI, if not, ignore the DCI/IR Transmiter parts...

New Alpines have direct wiring for iPods, and I believe Modifry has wired DCIs for Alpines, fyi. Also fyi, once you replace the stock HU, you will lose the dash controls by the steering wheel unless you get a Dash Control Interface - Modifry's are great - read the FAQs. If I were you, I'd just go look at the Alpine website for a non swivel face HU - do you want just a new HU or a whole new system?

Any particular model you're thinking about? Or brand you like? Single DINs should be fine...
