Head unit brakets
When i bought my car it had stock hu in it and some aftermarket audio equipment and the entire set up didnt work.. So i bought a hu at circutcity and they did the install for free. But the let me know that the brackets were not on the stock hu so they weren't able to anchor the aftermarket hu. So i finally got around to buying the brackets from Honda but i have no clue how to put them on their . I checked the faq and diy for ap1 hu diy but the links seem to be broken/leading to the wrong site.
there just 2 angle brackets labeled L and R for obvious reasons!
there are 2 Phillips screws holding each of them on which screw into the head unit either side, id say they were about 3-4mm in diameter, hope this helps
then there are a further 4 screws which hold the brackets to the car

The OEM brackets should screw into the side of just about ANY aftermarket radio. At least I have used them on EVERY Alpine I have used (CDA9851, CDA7995, and the x001 (original iPod unit)).
As stated above. There should be an "L" and an "R" stamped on them. 2 bolt holes in each bracket, 2 sets of bolt holes on each side of the unit (you might be able to choose between a pair of holes on the HU... this allows it to be spaced out/in for different vehicles... choose whichever one flushes out).

Their are the L and R but as i stated my stock radio didnt have these brackets and i had to order them.. They didnt come with the bolts
.. Also since they weren't on their in the first place i didnt have the pleasure of figure out how to take the hu out besides just pulling it straight out... When i hold the brackets to the side of the aftermarket hu as you know it wont just slide in.. What all am i going to need to take apart to be able to get it in with the brackets on.
